*Sad Face* Saturday….

Not too much to report except that today I’m going out with my close girlfriend here for a pedi/lunch day. She’s leaving in about a week…moving away, and I am beyond sad about it. I don’t have too many friends here and no family and we have become very close over the last several months. She’s even my neighbor. Once in awhile you really get the chance to just hit it off with someone so well! And I have…and now she’s leaving. Ugh, so sad. So the hubby is sending me off for some quality bonding time. Making friends in new places is one of those sucky things about being a military family and not being in the place where your family is or where you grew up. So you gotta make your own. I know I’ll never find someone that i clicked so well with so immediately and it continued you on that way….sigh…here’s to hoping!!

  1. Hi! Just saw your link over at Kortney's Krazy Life and thought I would pop over and say hello.

I know what you mean about how hard it is to connect on a reall friendship level (we are not military but ride the train of corporate transfers and have lived in 4 different states and owned 7 different houses in 22 years of marriage). Some places have been harder than others to make that connection. Enjoy your time with your friend!

I am following you now and hope you will pop over the http://www.SouthernSomedays.com and say hello!

  2. Hi!! Thanks for stopping by and following me over at Kortney's Krazy Life! I know it's hard to move away from a BFF! My BF and I live in separate states but we talk(text) all day everyday! lol We've been BF's since the 2nd grade(over 22 yrs)isn't that amazing! I love her like a sister!

I can relate to you and Bella Michelle b/c my kids and I travel around with my honey from job to job! Thankfully we have been in the same state for over 2yrs now but I'm thinking a move is in our near future! We left our house back home and are saving to buy a RV! Yes, rv! lol It was awful being away from him so we prayed and decided to go on the road with him and homeschool the kiddos! It's been the best times of our lives!!! Well, I'll stop ramblin' now! 🙂 I'm a new follower and I'm glad to have met y'all! Kortney

  3. That's so hard to have friends move 🙁 But at least you'll still (should be able to anyway) be able to keep in touch thru phones and internet, etc. It's not the same tho.

Your comment on my blog yesterday was so sweet! thank you!!

    I'm following you, too!

(sorry if this is a repeat post – the first one didn't seem to send right)

  4. Thanks for the follow, now I'm following you too! I've had a few friends move away before and I know how hard it is, but it really amazing to find somebody that you click with immediately like that, so you have to trust that you'll continue to stay in touch!

  5. Thanks for following my blog! 🙂 I'm following yours in return as well, and I'll for sure check out the fourm. Those cupcakes are from a cupcake bakery in a town near me, they are AMAZING, but you can hardly eat one. They are HUGE! I look forward to reading your blog! 🙂

  6. Awwww, I hate when that happens. It so tough when you find friends and then they move away. 🙁 I hope you had a fabulous time with your friend and that you get to spend lots o'time together before she leaves. *hugs*

  7. Thanks so much for stopping by "Our Crazy Life"!

So sorry to hear about your friend moving. That is one of the hardest things about being a military wife 🙁

  8. Thanks for so much for being my first follower!! Yay, I should throw you a party! LOL
