Happy Veterans Day!

Well, its Veteran’s Day! Its a special day in my family because my husband is in the Military. Its also a special day because we are a parade family and there is a huge parade today in town. Its full of all the things my son just loves looking at, tanks and helicopters and other people in uniform. This year we’re getting him dressed in his uniform from Halloween. He’s going to be thrilled. I love the pride I feel just being at the parade and watching. I am so honored to be a Military Spouse. I am so proud of my Country and my Husband. I just am filled emotion as I think about other family members that have served our Country. Both my grandfathers, one in WWII and one in Korea. A Great-Uncle who was actually KIA in WWII and received a Purple Heart. There is such a legacy that I think we don’t remember often enough, especially as we dwell on the current situation in the world. So as you go through your day, remember those who are serving and those who have served. Regardless of how you feel about what is going on today, the least they deserve is your respect. Thank a Veteran, past serving or currently serving, today!
