Well, I’ve been waiting to make this post for months. Excited isn’t even the right word. I recently received the opportunity through the amazing MomCentral to review and talk to you about the Hoover Max Extract. I had seen other bloggers get similar opportunities and I couldn’t wait for the time when I thought I might be able to do something as awesome as that. When I received the acceptance into the Hoover community I felt like this was a major list checking off moment in this blogging journey of mine.
So I am pleased to present to you the Hoover Max Extract 60, PressurePro!
Carpet cleaning is always one of those things that you hate to do, you want to do, and try to figure out a way to afford. I’ve never owned a carpet cleaner before and we usually try to get the carpets cleaned twice a year. One of those times was usually provided by the owner, but with light colored carpets sometimes we’d have to get it done ourselves. Apartment living was not conducive at all for having light color carpets (and having small children) because your living space is so small and everything is right on top of everything else. However when we moved I was quite excited to have more space, but quickly discovered that the kid factor was a bigger factor than I may have realized. Doesn’t matter if I have where you eat rules, inevitably while I’m watching one kid, another kids walks off with said food or drink and spills it. Needless to say I’m super excited we now have a play room. And we’ll just ignore the fact that I haven’t mentioned anything about my chronic clumsiness and how that factors in to anything.
Let’s get to it and talk about this amazing carpet cleaning machine of awesomeness! I was more than impressed with this machine’s abilities. I have used a Bissell before, as well as Rug Doctor. The Hoover definitely measures up, even to the the super tough, semi-professional Rug Doctor. Here’s some quick stats about the Hoover Max Extract:
The Hoover MaxExtract® deep cleaner is designed to thoroughly clean carpets and rugs.
- MaxExtract® DualV® Nozzle Technology pulls up dirty water so your floors dry fast.
- Pressurized Edge-to-Edge Cleaning has a wall of pressurized water that loosens and lifts stubborn stains with constant and relentless spray.
- SpinScrub® 60 uses counter-rotating brushes engineered to surround carpet fibers, removing dirt at every angle.
- Forced heated air helps speed dry time.
- Auto Conversion Tools are conveniently positioned where they should be: right at your fingertips.
- SmartTanks™ System has separate tanks for clean and dirty water, so you can easily fill, empty and rinse each tank individually.
- Includes a 16-oz bottle of 2X Professional Strength Carpet & Upholstery Detergent, 9′ Clear Active Hose and Upholstery Tool.
Now let’s see what the Max Extract did for me
Here’s some before and after of some high traffic areas in my house. I also had a picture of some blueberry but that mysteriously disappeared…ahem, thanks B-man. Brian really enjoys taking videos and pictures of street lights and I think my phone pictures of the carpet fell victim to that. The blueberry came out if you can believe it or not, and I didn’t just clean it right after it had fallen on the floor. I actually had cleaned it with just some regular carpet spray, tried to scrub it myself and let it sit for days on end while I figured out how long I should wait to go rent or hire a carpet cleaner. The Max Extract was also able to get out dirt you didn’t see. Gross water! Ick!!! The only thing that would have made this thing that could have made this cooler would be if it somehow dried the carpet as a I cleaned it. But it was very efficient, not too much water so it didn’t take forever to dry, even if this humid climate. I used the upholstery attachment to clean a chair we got from someone…although I’m kinda excited to get a chance to clean a stain off my couch or something.
All in all I was very impressed and am more than super excited to be the proud owner of a carpet cleaner. That’s when you know you’re an adult and a mom – when you’re excited about appliances. If you’re ready to admit that you too, as an adult, get excited about appliances you can check out the Hoover Max Extract for yourself at Hoover’s website.
I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own
