Many years ago, 1990 to be exact, Crayola retired its eight crayon set – orange yellow, raw umber, green blue, maize, blue gray, orange red, violet blue and lemon yellow. The year after that they came with a Limited Edition tribute to it of sorts, in a box that was modeled after the original box. I really can’t remember when I actually received it, or who I received it from, but it wound up in my box of special memories, barely touched, but inexplicably missing the Maize color, which now I’m totally bummed about. I can’t remember the last time I looked in it. But me being the vintage lover I saved it, and its still here.
Well, Crayola is celebrating the 110, whoa! And, in celebration of the celebration is opening an all new Crayola Experience in Easton, Pa, to be unveiled Memorial Day Weekend. This is not the Crayola Factory, this is a unique experience all in its own. Its a place for children to discovery and experience a world of color and creativity. The Crayola Experience features four floors of new interactive exhibits and one-of-a-kind attractions that will bring the magic of color and your child’s creativity to life!
