So, what was I up to a year ago today?

we were on our way home from California/Nevada.  When I was there it felt like it was going by so fast, but writing about it on here made it seem like I was there forever.  It was pretty amazing.  

The Kids and I flew alone (shew that’s ridiculousness), but they did awesome.  Although, I’m convinced that I made it only due to the amazingness of the USO in Colorado.  Seriously, these people are amazing.  I came to do door and they could tell that I was just out of my mind, LOL.  They took the kids, helped us get settled, gave them food, got me and Phillip all settled.  Then, to top it all off they helped me get to my plan.  I mean really?  How amazing is that.  To this day I still rave over them, going above and beyond the call of duty.

Southwest Airlines was also amazing.  Helpful with the kids, took them to see the Pilot, it was great.  We always fly with them and have yet to have a bad experience.  And thank you Lord I have never had a horrible experience with passengers and my kids.  Although, I think that’s because (another Thank you Lord) my kids have always done really well on a plane and have actually been complimented on them.  That is due entirely to the Grace of God and tons of prayer before and during.  Maybe  a little bit of my awesome parenting skills, but mostly not.

A year ago today, I was still in California….I was in there a really long time I know….so fun.  Today I was hanging out with one of my friends who was preggers at the same time as me.  Me, with my third and her with her first.  She actually started out as my sister’s friend..but you know how that goes…once you get past a certain age and you get into the same phases of life age is just a number.  I was pregnant with a lot of my friends this time around, which I have never really been before.  It was a lot of fun!  so much fun!!!

A year ago today, as with last week, I was still in California, spending time with Friend’s and Family.  I had a chance to be there for my sister’s birthday, which was fantabulous!  Brian’s favorite part of course is the lighting and blowing out of candles.  My awesome sister let him help, major Auntie brownie points  right?!  That little munchkin on her lap is my little niece who is two months younger then Phillip.  We were preggers at the same time, how fun is that?

Happy Valentine’s Day Ya’ll!!!  What we were doing a year ago today on Valentine’s Day?!
I was making heart-shaped pancakes (which this year we’ll be doing in the evening because Brian is in school this year), on our brand new heart-shaped plates (which we ate on a box because we were still unpacking!  I was also indulging in my most favorite holiday treats – Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups in Holiday Shapes.  Most holidays you can find me indulging in egg, heart or Christmas tree shapes.  I think we need a four-leaf clover shape, but that’s just me.  There’s a little baby Phillip picture in there for good measure.  Hope your V-Day is wonderful.

So, what was I doing a year ago?   Well looking back at the pictures it seems to me to have been a simple day at home unpacking and hanging out with the children.  Look at my little tiny Phillip!!  Time flies.  Not only do I just simply love to look at pictures and think about where we’ve been, but this weekly blog hop is so nice because not only does it make me stop and think and reflect, but it really forces me to dwell on what that day was and remember.  By this time Mr. Air Force was back at work so it was just me and the kids.  Apparently I was still working on perfecting my french braid as well.  Can’t wait to see everyone’s posts!  If you’re just stopping by, consider linking up next week!
