So what were we doing a year ago today?

My Boys came to town!  I call them my boys, I mean they aren’t really my boys.  One of them is basically like my brother from another mother.  I love him so much, and I couldn’t be prouder to know him.  We just clicked when I met him about seven years ago (if you can believe that).  I was four months pregnant and they came to our church to perform at a music venue we had.  I helped them experience their first In and Out!  Since that time I’ve gotten them places to say, my parent’s have let them stay, they’ve stayed with me in three different states and its such a cool thing.  Pete, the original in all this is now in a different band (Rocky Loves Emily) and they’re amazing (make sure to watch the music video at the end, and check out their website.

My kids (especially my oldest) adores them.  They are amazing to my kids when they have interacted with them.  That to me is a true sign of goodness in a person.  They talk to them, and listen.  Its really been a blessing to know them.

Naturally I’m training my children to love their rock n roll!
