This organization is faith-based, but the degree to which they focus on that can vary from group to group.

Military One Source – Both a friend and I have gone through the process of getting a counselor through them. They are very helpful. You will need to give standard identification information but it has all remained completely confidential.

Air Force Play Pass – providing activities and distractions for Air Force families, children and single airmen affected by deployment. It isn’t available at all base locations so check and see if its available in your area.

Defending the Blue Line – providing financial assistance and equipment to military children (as well as service members overseas) who want to play hockey. DBL also works with other organizations and hockey teams to provide hockey camps and special events for military children and their families.
Pillow Project USA – provides pillows for the children of separated service members (separated for at least 3 months). We own these and love them. I highly recommend this organization.

Military Pro Bono Project** – The ABA Military Pro Bono Project accepts case referrals from military attorneys on behalf of junior-enlisted, active-duty military personnel and their families with civil legal problems, and it places these cases with pro bono attorneys where the legal assistance is needed.
