General Support and Informational Services

America’s Fund – created to provide assistance to America’s wounded heroes. Created out of the Semper Fi Fund as the needs began to pour in, and the success of assistance to our nation’s marines and sailors.

Air Compassion for Veterans** – ensures no wounded warrior, veteran or family member that is experiencing

financial stress is denied access to distant, specialized medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, rehab, healing and restorative program and reintegration programs.

Achilles Freedom Team (Achilles International) – physical health and fitness programs for combat and non-combat wounded veterans.

Connected Warrior Foundation – improving the quality of life of our wounded veterans through events, resources, moral support, and technology to keep them connected with their families and friends.  They have several programs that help ensure that our wounded (both with physical and invisible wounds) is able to stay connected with access to tablets and kindle fires, and so much more!

CAUSE USA – provides opportunities for recreation, relaxation and resiliency for members of the Armed Services recuperating from injuries

Challenged Athletes Foundation, Operation Rebound** –  funds equipment, training and travel expenses, physical training at military medical facilities and sport clinics held throughout the year at military medical centers

DRS Guardian Scholarship – Scholarship available for the children of fallen National Guardsman who have paid the ultimate price since 9/11

Elizabeth Dole Foundation – Caregiver supports

Fisher House – located in proximity to base or the medical facility in which your loved one is being treated, these homes allow family members to be near their recovering service member.  Fisher House also operates the Hero Miles Program and Hotels for Heroes Programs which helps distribute donated air miles and hotel points to allow family members to be near their service member as quickly and easily as possible.  Fisher House also provides scholarships for the children of fallen and disabled heroes.

Guitars for Vets – providing guitars and music instruction for veterans suffering from PTS and other

emotional trauma – currently operating in 15 states

Homes For Troops** – assists severely injured service members and their families by raising money, building materials and labor, and coordinates the efforts to ensure that these men and women have a home that provides exactly what they need.  INote: eligible service member receive a VA grant, Homes for Troops assistance covers all costs over and beyond said grant.

Lead the Way Fund – providing services to wounded and gold star Army Ranger Families

Luke’s Wings – provides immediate transportation for the families of Wounded Warriors, and other assistance

Lone Survivor Foundation – provides unique educational, rehabilitation, recovery and wellness opportunities for the service members and their families

Horses for Heroes – making horseback riding affordable for veterans, survivors, service members and their families – available at over 200 centers across the country

Ride 2 Recovery – providing rehabilitative and event-based bicycle riding

America’s Vet Dogs** – provides service dogs to those with physical or emotional disabilities, as well as occupational therapy dogs, and guide dogs for blind veterans.  They serve the needs of disables veterans and active duty personnel as well.

Canine Companions for Independence, Veterans Program** – accredited Assistance dogs for those with physical and non-physical injuries

Freedom Dogs** – Provides custom-trained service dogs to those returning from combat with physical and non-physical wounds
